The Center for Planned Giving now offers free educational workshops on Planned Giving techniques for nonprofits, their boards and their benefactors.
Planned Giving, Planned Gifting and charitable annuities can be a complex and daunting to the uninitiated. Even veteran development directors may need assistance in the nuances that are presented by benefactors that wish to give. Many times even the benefactors themselves may not understand the most effective or efficient methods to give either. Planned Giving presents a complex web of regulation overlying multiple techniques with variations.
Our volunteer workshop is an hour long with half an hour for questions and focuses on many of the tools used for Planned Giving from a Financial and Tax standpoint. Charitable gift annuities, IRA assets as gifts, Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts and DAF’s are just some of the topics that are covered in our workshop. This can be accomplished either live in person or via video conference.
The Center for Planned giving is a nonprofit that is a member of both the Partnership on Philanthropic Planning, (formerly the National Committee for Planned Giving), as well as the Colorado Chapter Planned Giving.
